How to LOVE Dim sum
Dim Sum is the Chinese answer to brunch. In some places in Asia, these delicacies are served as breakfast such as Luk Yu Teahouse in Hong Kong, where it opens up at 7am. The faithful locals like to meet after an early morning stroll before the general tourists roll in for lunch. But don’t go past 3pm as that is the general time when the time to dim sum generally comes to an end. As most restaurants make their own dim sum on site, the early bird always gets the freshest and a table!
Dim Sum is also an event for familial gatherings. I have memories of sharing dim sum with family and friends, and therefore I built this whole world around the memories, sights and scents of these shared meals.
It is also the start of the ideas that I have put together about the adventures of Mei and her panda, Shan.
